"The climbers appeared on the [Times Square] sign at 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, March 19, 2010. The attached photo captures the moment – the photo title reads, 'Climbers summit Mt. Kilimanjaro to support pulmonary hypertension research.'"
It struck me that two doctors and one physician assistant's climb to one of the loneliest and most isolated spots on earth generating such awareness of pulmonary hypertension is amazing.
Over 1.2 million readers and viewers have had learned of pulmonary hypertension through their story. An additional 1.6 million people walk past the Times Square sign each day.
